Buddy

Buddy

Buddy is an 4 1/2 year old Labrador Retriever Mix. He will make someone a great pet. Buddy needs an owner who is active that will play ball, go on walks or runs. He is very active but also loves to veg out and get belly rubs. He loves playing ball, is nice with people and other dogs.

Buddy is neutered, heartworm-negative and current on all of his vaccinations.

Itty Bitty and Spot were
surrendered by their owner because he could no longer care for them, due to health reasons. It would be ideal if they could be adopted together, but it is not imperative.

Itty Bitty is a 10 lb, 12 year old Chihuahua/Rat Terrier Mix. She is very sweet and loveable. In spite of her age, she is in very good condition and is very active. She would love to spend a lot of time in the lap of someone who will love her.

Itty Bitty is spayed, heartworm-negative and current on all of her vaccinations.

Spot

Spot is an 8 year old Chihuahua/Rat Terrier Mix. He weighs 14 1/2 lbs. He is the son of Itty Bitty and they have been together for his entire life. Like his mother, he is also very sweet.

When visiting the veterinarian, it was discovered that Spot has an old break in one of his rear legs. The edges of the bone have deteriorated such that it cannot grow back together. There seems to be no pain and this does not slow him down, the leg just does not support him. When walking or running, he simply lifts it up. It is not believed that he will need any future medical attention due this injury.

Spot is neutered, heartworm-negative and current on all of his vaccinations.

At Southern Star Ranch, we know all too well the affects of the overpopulation of dogs and cats in our society.

A study has shown that only 4 out of every 50 dogs will find homes that last a lifetime.  This is only one of many reasons why we promote neutering and spaying of all pets.

Southern Star Ranch works closely with Austin German Shepherd Rescue.  We frequently house several rescues until a foster home or adopter is found.  Visit their website for information on these dogs.
